Whats going on in Philly

A Philadelphia sports legend -- Roman High grad turned All-Pro receiver and 2007 Super Bowl ring-owner Marvin Harrison -- has been caught up in the city's gun mayhem.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison has been accused of being involved in a recent shooting at a Philadelphia area bar he owns.

WIP radio in Philadelphia reported that police uncovered a gun registered to Harrison in connection with the incident.

According to the radio station, a fist-fight broke out when Harrison escorted a man out of his bar, called Playmakers. When the man fled, gunfire was exchanged and the man's car was struck by a bullet and his hand was grazed.

Neither Harrison or anyone else has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The facts are still unfolding -- my newsroom sources tell me the shooting was not in the bar but outside, and that Harrison turned over the gun voluntarily. Stay tuned. After this is adjudicated one way or the other, millionaire (presumably) Harrison might want to consider a different off-season hobby than running a bar in one of his hometown's grittier neighborhoods.
